<p>As you know, I&#8217;m a Law of Attraction gal. Energy is the stuff of creation, so if you want to make real change in the world, the most effective way to go about it is starting at the energetic level.</p>
<p>I have some wonderful friends who are passionate about saving dolphins &#8211; but rather than becoming an activist, physically interrupting or reporting on violent activities, and creating confrontation, I&#8217;ve made the decision to help at the energetic level &#8211; the level where real magic happens.</p>
<p>So yesterday I created my first tapping video for dolphins &#8211; the first of what I hope will become a series in a movement worldwide of energy healers joining together for this purpose. My human friends who are passionate about dolphins dropped out of sight, but when I did a round of tapping and asked the dolphins to guide me in the tapping on their behalf, they totally showed up for me energetically. It was unmistakable.</p>
<p>I hope you&#8217;ll join me, using your favorite healing modality &#8211; be it EFT or other meridian tapping, Ho&#8217;oponopono, prayer, and others &#8211; and help create the world as a safe place full of love and joy and peace for dolphins as well as humans by becoming part of my new ning community, Keep Dolphins Safe.</p>

As I&#8217;m planning my goals for myself and for my students, I&#8217;d like to introduce one of my most important teachers of last year &#8211; one of my students. Making the video, and reflecting on what I learned from my student led to two new EFT tapping videos, which follow.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Why are you eating that? The ideal answer is ‘Because I am hungry and this food provides the ideal nourishment for my body’s needs.’ If you are eating for reasons other than hunger, do you know what to do about it? There is a simple answer that puts the power to release cravings and emotional eating right at your fingertips.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>So why <em>are</em> you eating that? There are a lot of reasons we eat besides hunger. Let’s talk a look at some of the more common reasons:</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Emotional Hunger</strong></p>
<p>Sometimes we eat in an attempt to relieve or numb or escape emotions that we don’t want to experience. We eat to fill an emotional void. Favorite foods and beverages can bring an explosion of wonderful pleasurable sensations, making it easy to forget, or to not feel for a short while.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The problem with this strategy of course, is twofold. It doesn’t address the real problem of the underlying emotion or provide any long-term relief from the real problem; and it literally weighs down your body with unnecessary and possibly even harmful foods.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Time to Eat</strong></p>
<p>Sometimes we eat because the clock tells us it’s time to eat. Children don’t seem to have this problem. They eat when their body gives them hunger signals, they don’t eat when it doesn’t. It’s only after years of being told you have to eat at meal times that we begin to honor the clock more than the signals from our own bodies.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Habit</strong></p>
<p>Sometimes we eat out of habit. We’ve gotten into a habit of pairing certain foods with certain activities, again whether we are truly hungry or not. Hot dogs at baseball games. Popcorn at the movies. Potato chips at a BBQ. Ice cream with the late night movie. A triple fudge brownie with a broken heart.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Whenever you start to reach for food, check in with yourself to see if you are truly hungry. Sometimes we eat to temporarily relieve emotions we don’t want to feel. Sometimes we eat because the clock tells us to. Sometimes we eat out of habit. And sometimes we eat because we are actually physically hungry.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Solution:</strong></p>
<p>Noticing why you are eating is a really important step to making changes that support your radiant good health. If you are eating for any reason besides physical hunger, then you can use techniques such as EFT, emotional freedom technique (a kind of meridian tapping therapy) to collapse those emotional drivers, eating with the clock, and force of habit.</p>

<p>Why is it that otherwise levelheaded, reasonable people are willing to risk their money, time, health, and possibly even their lives when it comes to losing weight? If you destroy your health, or worse yet, lose your life to some new fad product or diet – will you really care how much body fat you have?</p>
<p>What makes us spend our hard-earned money on the latest weight-loss ‘wonder drug’ or gadget? Are we being possessed? In a way, you could say in those moments we are. We are literally overcome with our emotions – specifically, the emotion of the pain of being overweight. At that moment, our suffering feels so great that we are willing to do virtually anything that will relieve that pain, even if it’s only temporary.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, advertisers know this and take advantage of it by triggering such feelings and then offering their product or service as the solution. If you don’t have an energy clearing practice such as meridian tapping or EFT, the Emotional Freedom Technique, then you are vulnerable to being triggered by this kind of advertising, and making choices that waste your money, are ineffective, and possibly even harmful.</p>
<p>What is it you do to shift your emotional state when your emotions get triggered around weight-loss? Some people reach for a favorite fattening dessert, which of course is only a temporary fix and contributes to the problem in the long run. Others take action on whatever product is being offered them along with the emotional advertising that is triggering the emotional reaction, and this too is only a temporary fix – because once you use the product or diet and don’t get the promised results, you’re back to feeling desperate again and vulnerable to the next advertiser who comes along.</p>
<p>However, it doesn’t have to be this way. You have the power to clear your emotions yourself – right at your fingertips – for FREE! EFT only takes a few minutes to do, and it’s very easy. The hardest part is to remember to do it when you feel triggered!</p>
<p>When your emotions are clear, you are coming from a place of power to take action in ways that support your health rather than in ways that are damaging to your health.</p>

If you’re beating up on yourself for being overweight, berating yourself for eating too much of the wrong foods, or you’re belittling yourself for not exercising, you’re doing it all wrong! That’s the recipe for creating more of exactly the same pattern (or an expanded version of it!)</p>
<p>If you accept the Law of Attraction at any level, then this probably isn’t news to you. And yet, many people continue to focus on what they don’t want, and try to bully their bodies into submission when it comes to weight-loss. Are you one of them? Let’s find out…</p>
<p>&#8211;Do you look at your body in the mirror and feel anything other than joy and gratitude?</p>
<p>&#8211;When you look at yourself in the mirror, are you saying anything other than words of sweet adoration?</p>
<p>&#8211;Do you feel like your body doesn’t look good enough to wear certain kinds of clothes?</p>
<p>&#8211;Do you ever catch yourself thinking, “When I lose weight, I’ll …(fill in your dream here).”</p>
<p>&#8211;Do you ever feel like you aren’t deserving of love because of your weight?</p>
<p>&#8211;Do you ever look at your body and think of yourself as a failure?</p>
<p>&#8211;Do you ever threaten your body, saying things like, “If you don’t exercise you’re going to get SO FAT!”</p>
<p>If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these you’ve played the bully role to your body at one time or another. The more you’ve done it, the more of a bully you’ve been to yourself. So now let me ask you this: How is that working out for you?</p>
<p>Since you’re still reading this I’m guessing your answer is something along the lines of, “Not so well.”</p>
<p>Before I give you the key, I want to acknowledge your honesty and your courage for taking the quiz above and really look at what you’ve been doing up to now that hasn’t been working. This key that I’m about to share with you may sound really simple, but it’s extremely powerful, and played an essential role in my own physical transformation.</p>
<p>So if bullying your body doesn’t work, if shaming or threatening yourself doesn’t work, what does?</p>
<p><strong>Love and Respect Your Body Now.</strong></p>
<p>That’s it. Beautiful in its simplicity. You must be loving and respectful of your body if you want to recreate its image. This is not optional. Anything less is a deal breaker. If you want to return to your truly natural state of being thin, healthy and gorgeous, you must love yourself right now, just as you are.</p>
<p>Why? For one thing, you’ll get much greater cooperation with your body if you are coming from a place of love and respect for your body. Just as when interacting with other people, when you are coming from a place of love and respect you get a completely different response than if you are coming from a place of anger, hatred or disgust.</p>
<p>Secondly, in order to change what you are creating in the physical world, you need to change what you are creating energetically. You need to be in the energy of already feeling slim to create the slim body you want. You need to be in the energy of feeling good about wearing a short skirt in order to create the body that looks great in that short skirt.</p>
<p>As you’re reading this you might not be feeling the love for yourself that I’m describing, and that’s okay. The good news is it’s just an energy response. It’s like an old software program that you have running. You can change it, and you’d be surprised at how easily and quickly you can change it.</p>
<p>One of the easiest ways to change it is with a meridian tapping therapy such as EFT. EFT is so simple, children and beginners have great success with it. It’s also a wonderful tool for collapsing cravings and shifting your level of motivation on things like exercise – so instead of forcing yourself to exercise, you could feel inspired and excited about exercise. Instead of forcing yourself to avoid certain foods, you can feel attracted to foods that support your radiant health.</p>

<p><strong>Tip 1: Love and Respect Your Body Now.</strong></p>
<p>You must be loving and respectful of your body if you want to recreate its image. Many people, even some of the nicest people in the world when dealing with others, are cruel and ruthless when dealing with their own bodies. You can’t bully your body into submission. You cannot shame your body into becoming thin. It absolutely will not work, and your body will take it out on you at the first opportunity, often rebounding with even more fat than you started with.</p>
<p><strong>Tip 2: Do No Harm to Your Body.</strong></p>
<p>This goes hand in hand with Tip 1. If you want genuine, lasting weight-loss, nothing is more important than your health. It seems like a no-brainer, and yet when people are in the ‘got to lose weight now!’ part of the cycle of pain with their weight, they often are so desperate that they are willing to do anything to get results in their weight-loss, even doing something they know will be ultimately harmful. Don’t let this be you.</p>
<p><strong>Tip 3: Nourish Your Body.</strong></p>
<p>You cannot starve yourself and have healthful, lasting weight-loss. It goes against what it is hard-wired to do based on eons of humans barely able to subsist on the food that was available to them. Body fat will come back with a vengeance as your body tries to protect itself from the next ‘famine’ it thinks it’s just survived through. Lovingly feed your body an appropriate amount of wholesome, nutrient dense food.</p>
<p><strong>Tip 4: Be Patient With Your Body.</strong></p>
<p>It’s been patient with you for all these years. You owe it to your body to be patient and gentle with it. Your body fat didn’t appear all at once, and unless you are a master of manifesting things in the physical world instantaneously it’s crazy to expect that the excess weight will drop off immediately either. You can’t starve it off in a week with some fad diet; you can’t exercise it off in a week with some masochistic exercise routine. Stay encouraged. Stay focused. Understand that some fluctuations are normal, and have faith that you will succeed in reaching your weight-loss goal, especially if you follow these tips.</p>
<p><strong>Tip 5: Notice the Difference Between Physical Hunger and Emotional Hunger.</strong></p>
<p>Whenever you reach for food, check in with yourself to see if you are truly hungry. Sometimes we eat because the clock tells us to. Sometimes we eat out of habit. Sometimes we eat because it makes us feel emotions we want to feel. And sometimes we eat because we are actually physically hungry. Noticing why you are eating is the first step to making changes that support your radiant good health. If you are eating for any reason besides physical hunger, then you can use techniques such as EFT, emotional freedom technique (a kind of meridian tapping therapy) to collapse those emotional drivers.</p>
<p><strong>Tip 6: Drink Plenty of Water<span style="font-weight: normal;">.</span></strong></p>
<p>When people don’t drink enough water, they often mistake the body’s thirst signal as a signal for hunger, and mistakenly use food to try to quench it. When that doesn’t work, some people will reach for even more food. Also, water plays an important role in eliminating toxins and eliminating stored fat, so following your doctor’s recommended daily intake of water is a great way to support your weight-loss.</p>
<p><strong>Tip 7: Release Negative Emotions and Collapse Food Cravings with EFT.</strong></p>
<p>Relief from unwanted emotions and unwanted food cravings is literally at your fingertips with the use of EFT, the emotional freedom technique, a kind of meridian tapping therapy. Using EFT shifts your energy out of the patterns and experiences that have kept you fat, and clears the way for you to return to your natural state of being thin, healthy, and gorgeous. Shifting your energy is the one thing you must do if you want to have rapid, easy, healthy weight-loss that is successful long term.</p>

This is the second part of his answer to me.</em></p>
<p><strong>Alan&#8217;s Answer: Into the Woods PART 2</strong></p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how I found the place. One day I was driving to Austin from Houston with a girl I was dating at the time. Halfway back to Austin, she suggested we pull off in a small town called Bastrop to have lunch. And I said, okay. So we did.</p>
<p>She pulled her SUV up on the main street and into a parking space. I got out of the car and saw an old pair of boxing gloves hanging in a store window. This was my first clue as I had written that there was an old pair of boxing gloves hanging on the wall in the story. So, immediately it caught my attention.</p>
<p>I got out of the SUV, walked right up to the window, stared at the boxing gloves, then went inside an antique shop that used to be an old bar. Then I got really excited, because I new that I was at the right place at the right time. Turns out there was an empty bar room adjacent to the one that I was standing in. I had a look at it and it was perfect. We wound up shooting the film there a few weeks later.</p>
<p>Funny thing, the restaurant we had planned to go to that day was closed.</p>
<p>So the action that led to me finding the location for my film was to say &#8216;Yes, lets go have lunch there.&#8217; In no way did I even remotely see it connecting to my film.</p>
<p>The point here is that inspired action may seem completely unrelated to what it is that you&#8217;re creating. But that&#8217;s what makes the action inspired, as opposed to some planned action that your rational mind might give you.</p>
<p>The reason I&#8217;ve included his wonderful explanation of this creative process is because the process works the same way with your body and your health, but we&#8217;re not used to thinking of it this way.</p>

<p>I recently had a conversation with one of my coaches in <strong>The Artistry of Life</strong> Course, <strong>Alan Ray</strong> (<a href="http://www.creativeselfexpression.com/" target="_blank">http://www.creativeselfexpression.com/</a>). It was so inspired, and so well-crafted an answer about how to create what we want in our lives, I asked for and was granted permission to share it with all of you here. It’s a bit longer than my usual posts, so I am posting it in two parts as he wrote them.</p>
<p> <strong>Teresa’s question:</strong> <em>So if you were to give us an example of creating action steps for your creations &#8211; without any kind of forcing or ‘have to’ kind of energy, what would those look like? For example, you wrote that you intend on having the script for the first season completed by the end of the month &#8211; and that reads in my mind like a whole lot of actions, rather than just one. So for you is that writing every morning first thing? or writing when you feel inspired to write? or is it an outline that you create and fill in day by day?</em></p>
<p><em>I guess what I&#8217;m asking is you&#8217;ve shown me the forest, and the woods &#8211; which are beautiful in the distance. Would you please now share the trees, the branches, the bark, and the leaves &#8211; the colors, the textures, the sounds, the fragrance of those woods? Thanks!</em></p>

<strong>Alan’s answer: Into the Woods PART I</strong></p>
<p>Great question.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m usually always listening for inspiration. When an idea comes to me that gets my attention and interest, I begin to put more focused energy on it. I do this several ways. First by thinking about it or imagining it in my mind. Secondly, I always share it with other people. Always. You never know who may play a part in what you want to create.</p>
<p>Once I get clear on what I want to create, then I listen for what the voice of inspiration says next. Usually, this will involve taking an action. The action may be to share it with a friend. The action may be (in the case of my new web series idea) to sit down and let the story flow through me. It&#8217;s not really something I have to write as much as it is something that I tune into and receive. Then I just write down what I see and hear.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a step by step process. As you listen for inspired actions to take, you want to be clear that you may be prompted to do things that may not seem to connect to what it is that you are creating.</p>
<p>Example; Once I was working on a short film and needed to find a location. So, there was my original intention, to make a film. Finding a location to film in then became part of I would need to do to fulfill on my intention. The setting for that particular story was an old, empty bar with ceiling fans, hardwood floor, round tables, etc. I didn&#8217;t know of any place like that, but I was intending to attract a place like that into my reality.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you ever seen or heard a child in distress and wanted to help, but been in a situation where you felt you couldn’t?</p>
<p>If it’s your own child, you’ve probably already taught her about EFT, she uses it herself and isn’t surprised if you reach over and start tapping on her head.</p>
<p>But what if it’s someone you don’t know?</p>
<p>This kind of situation arose when I visited Todaiji last week. A mother and her child were bitten by deer overly zealous for deer cookies. The mother, still holding the deer cookies above her head, was busy fending off 5 or 6 deer and couldn’t immediately attend to her hysterical young daughter a few meters away.</p>
<p>Perfect situation for Surrogate Tapping. This video explains how to do it:</p>

<p>As you get more practiced with the surrogate healing using EFT, you don’t even need to physically tap on your body, often just directing the energy as if you were tapping is enough.</p>
<p>You’ll know when the person you have done the surrogate tapping for has made a shift, because there will be an obvious change – a change in expression, a change in voice – and often it happens rapidly. Hysteria one moment to glee the next.</p>
<p>In the case of the little girl bitten by the deer, when she shifted she went from tearful, frightened bawling to a cheery smile saying, “Hey! Look at that cute fawn over there.” in the blink of an eye.</p>
